The British Wireless for the Blind Fund provides high quality, easy to use audio equipment which has been specially designed and adapted for listeners living with sight loss.
Calibre Audio Library
Providing the pleasure of reading to people with sight problems, dyslexia or physical disabilities. It is a free nationwide postal service with 19,000 members. There is a choice of 8000 titles.
Disability Stockport is a voluntary organisation which assists and supports people with physical disabilities and/or sensory loss or impairments.

RNIB National Library Service
They are the largest specialist library in the UK for readers with sight loss.
They aim to provide the same kind of books you would expect to find in your local library (but please note they are not an academic library).
Talking News Federation
The Talking News Federation (TNF) is made up of over 400 local Talking Newspapers (TNs). This umbrella organisation provides information and contact details for your local Talking Newspaper and supports them in their work.
Walthew House Walthew House is an independent local charity supporting people in Stockport who are blind, visually impaired, deaf or hard of hearing or who have dual sensory loss. This is where the Stockport Talking Newspaper is based. The charity is named after John Walthew, who founded the charity in 1882.
